Prom Week Part 1

PHEW. The past week has been HECTIC. Proms, post-proms and the like.

I haven't been here in a while. Hmm guess its because of the sudden availability of so much free time in such a long while. In other words, i got lazy. HAH.

I don't feel like blogging a long one right now, so i'll keep this one short. Probably elaborate on these events another day, when i feel like it.

So yup, prom's over! TJC's post-prom wasn't much of a hit though. Though i'm not clubbing material, nor a fan of it, i must say DXO was quite a letdown. We ended at 1.45 am! WTF right? Considering the fact that prom ended around 1130 after all the photo taking, we got there at midnight. 20 bucks for a mere 1 hr 45 mins?! Plus i didn't receive my complimentary drink coupon. Many thanks to Sam Chye who was generous and gave me his, allowing me my virgin taste of ALCOHOL.

VJC's post-prom was better, albeit in a smaller place. And yes, i got slightly tipsy. NOT DRUNK, tipsy only. I knew exactly what i was doing, but couldn't walk straight even though i tried. It's a weird feeling actually, to lose your inhibitions and get high. Especially when its my first time. I suffered a terrible headache after everything. Conclusion : Alcohol is not my type of stuff.

Ok i shall follow up this post with a Part II and a picture post. That's all for now. Bye!

The Bold, The Brave, and The Ballsy?

Quad-Stacker aka Ballsy

Yeah i've tried(finally) the notorious Quad-Stacker or Ballsy Burger at Burger King Tampines. For once i actually enjoyed the burger due to the delightful lack of pickles! They are the shit, really.

Yin and Kun were with me, and we all had burgers of varying boldness. I got myself the Quad, as said. Kun got the Triple aka Brave, and Yin settled for a double patty. I'll let you have the pleasure of comparison.

Meat, meat, and more MEAT

We went down to the John Little sale at the Expo after dinner. As predicted by Yin, the majority of the night crowd had already left. We had a look at some potential prom shoes, and Kun got his ideal pair.

Craving for bubble tea, we went back to Tampines. Yin got a Ramly Burger to top everything up and we sat by the pavement outside the MRT station for a long chat. Started discussing and planning a P6 gathering, wondering how our friends would look like after like what? 4 years? Cool stuff. Definitely interesting.

Then, we saw this biker who, well, caught our attention. It was hard for him not to. His electric bike was blazing neon lights, and a portable radio attached was playing tunes on high as he sped past. Not once, but thrice. Yes. He had the time to go one entire large round, around the Tampines interchange, 3 times. Took about 5 mins max for each round. Here's a snapshot of The Biker.

The Biker

I've gotten myself addicted to KoL ONCE AGAIN! Text based games are such a novelty.

Got to go hit the showers, bye!

World Record BASE Jump

Watch and listen to their daring tale.

THIS IS TOTALLY MY KIND OF THING. BASE JUMPING.

These two nutcases jumped off the Burj Dubai. Tallest building in the world. I'd give anything to do that kind of thing. Anything.

BLOODY TRANDOSHANS!

EAT THAT, LIZARD FACE! DIE!

Resigned

How shall i start?

Ok, i've got to be honest. It isn't the first time i'm feeling this way, and neither is sibling favouritism something new to us all.

I think i have lost touch with my family. Seriously.

All my mum and dad seemingly care about are my sister's bowling achievements. Competitions after compeitions, and they return home at like what? Midnight? Say a few words here and there and head off to bed. I barely communicate with them. Well its not my sister's fault, she's doing good at what she likes and i'm happy for her. I guess its something i have to bear with.

I feel treated like a second-grade object. My sister's the oh-so-fine, smart, intelligent, acheiving bowler. Their, wonderful child which has already excelled in areas that i didn't.

It's so obvious, especially with my dad. I try to start a conversation with him and all i get is a gruff reply with his eyes still transfixed to whatever programme thats airing on tv at the moment. And if i DO get one, he gives me a slight frown and a seemingly annoyed look. Thats as far as we get. There's the feeling that he doesn't like me, like i'm a failed experiment or something. I'm giving up trying to talk to him.

There's more, but i don't really want to continue. Thats all i guess, for now. Bye
