Paper-ific

The pain came back, momentarily. I remembered that night when i really couldn't take it, and just broke down. First time in my life such a thing happened. What a sad day. Time whizzed past, and coming to think of it, that night's long gone. I'll never forget though. But one's got to keep looking ahead, and that's what i'm doing. What's more, i'm almost back to my old, usual self again. Almost.

On a lighter note, today finally came, my day of reckoning. I had to face those damn stacks of paper i've been leaving around my room, being too lazy to clear them in the past. I hate it when i finally have to. Stack after stack i sorted, it was a bloody chore. Attack of the Papers was more like it(see for yourself, above). I started optimistically at 2.30pm and finished half-dead at 6.00pm. But i'm glad its over. Now i can finally get organised :)

Okay, last night was fun. Met weizhou, ted, chenghau, yujun and ryan on Bnet again to destress. Played many games. First one up, Run Kitty Run ( Numb Final ).

Coupled with the amazing high pitched, chipmunks-like soundtrack playing in the background( Numb-Linkin Park ), it was great fun. The aim was to get past those dogs, which we did, thanks to everyone's teamwork. Revive, Die, Revive, Die, and we made it to Round 2 where we eventually lost haha. But nvm, up next's MooMoo Farm!


Protecting the Wise Old MooMoo(Centre)

Yes, the big old creature in the centre is called MooMoo. It's stupid as hell and won't budge or fight or whatever, so yeah, our objective was to protect it from waves and waves of enemy creatures. Lasted quite long, and it was DIFFICULT. I lost count of how many times i respawned. But still, good, clean fun. Now for the final game of the night(it was already past midnight if i'm not wrong), Dota -ARDMWTF with pubbies ^^.

It was too bad that yujun and ryan got disconnected during the game, otherwise they could have joined in the fun. Ted, weizhou and i were left fighting against 5 other players. Nevertheless, we always manage to perform certain crazy antics.

That match was the last game of the night. I turned in at around 3am and set the alarm to 9.30am, lest i sleep too much. Surprisingly, i woke up at 9.29am, and 10 secs later the alarm rang! It wasn't the first time so i was thinking maybe body-clock? Or pure coincidence? I guess the body works in grand, mysterious ways.

Mr Sunshine himself, Tham Yu Jun

Yujun: Deemed "The Sexiest Man Alive" by many of his friends. Has a characteristic Sunshine smile thats guaranteed to melt anybody's heart, and make you wear sunglasses. A solid, trusty rightback defender in field hockey, so attackers, think twice before you face him. Has a boundless sense of humour, so incredible that even I have been subdued by it. Likes to eat alot(see for yourself, above).

Okay i guess thats about it for now. I'm really exhausted by the filing i did today, need lots of rest. Hoping for another destress session later on haha. Parents are out for dinner, that leaves me and sis at home. Alright i've got to go for dinner, goodbye! Tag tag tag!

Yes, i was watching Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles yesterday night. Its a new series spin-off from the Terminator series of movies. The sci-fi series fits into the timeline just after T2: Judgement Day and before T3(which just screened last week on Channel 5). The story tells us how John Connor and his mum, Sarah Connor, continue to run away from these future cyborg assassins sent back from the future to hunt them down. Its known that he'll be the future leader of the human resistance against them cyborgs, hence the intention to exterminate him.

There's this new girl Terminator which is also sent back as well to protect mother and son, and her name's Cameron(look above). Apparently, Cameron's the new Arnie(although i miss him alot), and is stated to be an upgraded version of the T-800 series. Its not bad for a movie spin-off, although the cyborgs in it don't play it as well as Arnold(they look and act TOO human). Go catch it! It's airing on Wednesdays, Channel 5, 8.30 - 9.30pm.

Following that, i joined the dhs guys on Bnet playing some funny custom map Dodgeball. Haven't been into Channel dhs for quite some time now. Met chenghau, ryan, yujun, weixuan, ted, weizhou and we went on to have some fun. Slept early(its relative) afterwards.


8am, Under LT1

Woke up at 645 today. Got prepared and parents dropped me off at college. Went to meet Sheeping and Suzanne for chemistry consultation with Miss Sim. We were in the canteen for an hour before Miss Sim had to open the air rifle range for training, so she left midway. Cherylnn and Roy came afterwards and the 3 of us walked over to the range to continue our session. Sheeping and Suzanne left for wushu camp.

So we had the consultation till around 1140am and we left. The air was quite dead and incredibly humid in the range, i was sweating even though i was sitting down the whole time. Cleared some doubts about chemical equilibrium and chemical energetics. Met Teck and some HC people at the canteen. Had lunch with Cherylnn and Roy at McDonald's afterwards and went home.

Funny how the last time i was in such a range was during Sec 2 when i was in air rifle myself. Quit after 6 months, didn't think it was the appropriate CCA for me(i'm a more outdoor-ish person). I think i would eventually suffocate in the confines of the range.

Ryan - The hottest guy in town. Nicknamed "Mr Imba Body" by his friends. He's one strong dude, got Mister 8 for the recent Temasek Titans(wonder WHO else got 8 too?). Enjoys large amounts of reading(see for yourself, above). A natural girl magnet, so girls, beware. Hardest hitter in field hockey, the ball's so fast its unseen. Has a deep, throaty voice, so alluring it simply hypnotizes you.

Rest of the day was spent revising Dynamics and Forces, all the way until blogging right now. Planning to do some Probability exercises at night, hopefully i will :) And tomorrow's Filing Day! I shall spend my day clearing up the mess that my room is now, and FILE every single piece of paper appropriately. I need organisation to study for the CTs.

I think that's about it for today. I'll be alone again tonight, my parents are going to my sister's bowling event. All the best to my sister for her bowling competition! Go Rachel! There's some renovation going on at the children's pool downstairs, i'll elaborate more tomorrow. Until then, goodbye!

Cloudy Morning to a Rainy Afternoon

Hello i'm back.

Woke up around 10am to my home phone ringing. Dad called and asked me to wake my sis up for bowling training. She woke up, got prepared and left soon after. Won't see her again till at night, as usual.

The sky looked cloudy when i woke up in my living room(i fell asleep there last night). And not long after, it poured heavily. My house got kind of dark and gloomy. Zzzz. Went over to my grandparents' place for lunch, and my grandma cooked dried noodles! Haven't had them for like, 2-3 months? Finally got to eat them again.

Okay, the main joy of the day was that i FINALLY got my ePSX emulator to run Chrono Cross! Swee la! First it couldn't run on ePSXe ver. 1.7, so i downgraded to 1.6. It ran fine, till the character selection screen where everything froze in a black screen. So i googled for solutions, some said it was the PSX Bios at fault, some said game fixes were needed. After searching for some time, i just realised all i needed to do was to run the .exe file with a "-noauto" parameter -.-. Simple thing to do, and it ran well :) If you guys don't know, CC's the popular RPG sequel to Squaresoft's(makers of the FF series too, now they're SquareEnix) Chrono Trigger. Released in 2000, it was one great game. I know its a little late to play a year 2000 game, but who cares? Gamespot rates it a straight 10/10.

I'm controlling myself so i don't play this great game until everything's done and i'm free at night :) So the rest of the day was spent confined in my living room, studying probability and reaction kinetics. Oh, and i submitted my SGC achievements(AT LAST), via email to Mr Hsu(Sorry for the inconvenience, Mr Hsu!). Following that, I played pyramid escape on Bnet with SPC at 4.30pm, its quite a funny custom map, with so many mini games inside. During which, i heard some lady downstairs scolding her child or something. Her tone was really fierce and went something like this.

Lady: I TELL YOU NICELY YOU DON'T WANT DO, NOW I SHOUT AT YOU, THEN YOU LIKE THAT!
Child: *Sobs*
Lady: PIAK!

My hair stood as soon as i heard the sharp slap, i swear. I hope the poor child's alright. The rest of their dialogue was incoherent, so i didn't bother to listen. Sigh, my days nowadays(days days haha) are usually spent alone at home, until late at night(which is like 10pm?) where my parents and sister return from bowling. They're usually too tired to talk and we hardly speak a word to each other. It's been like that for weeks. I hope i don't drift too far from my parents, i hate the fact that i'm always the one they blame when anything goes wrong in the house, even when i'm totally not at fault. I'm getting tired of it, and when they do, i turn a deaf ear. We'll see how things go.

Ooh its almost dinner time. Off to my grandparents' place soon! Having chemistry consultation with Miss Sim tomorrow, 8am(zzz so early) at the air rifle range. Cherylnn and sheeping's coming along too! (better check my earmuffs haha) SPC can't make it, he's got his NS medical checkup. Don't worry, i will try to survive haha.

A New Beginning

So i've made a new blog.
But not to worry, it isn't like my other one.

It's full of light-hearted and non-serious stuff, so if you're bored, why not?

Okay, certain things have taken place recently and i don't really want to talk about them. Its just that it was the first time in my life that i had ever felt so sad, so down and out. I never realised it would hurt that bad until it happened. BUT, the past's the past, and its no use brooding over it. All good things come to an end, and so they did. I've got to keep going on with the pace of life (: Let's hit the books and get buried in them!


Ah, finally comes the time where i can sit down and type out a full-fledged post. Spent 4 hours experimenting with the likes of HTML, and FINALLY got the blog to look the way i want it to. I chose this simple template because i was getting sick of having to find blogskins. And toying around with HTML proved kinda beneficial too. This blog was made so i can have a platform through which i can express my personal thoughts and feelings. Moreover, blogging's more healthy than gaming right? My interest in games have diminished recently, probably i'm already outgrowing them. BUT, i still love gaming with friends, it provides some much-sought-after entertainment. So for now, its blogging for the win!



This is going to be one long post. I shall start from yesterday.

Monday

Planning to meet the pri 6 dudes at tampines mrt at 12. Was late because i missed the shuttle bus. Met kcc and altron at the shuttle bus drop point and waited for yinwei. Wushu master Kun wasn't there so kcc tried calling him, and to our shock, he was hospitalised. Changi General Hospital, Level 7, Ward 37, Bed 7 was the place, so we made plans and headed there straight. We arrived and heard from his mum that his previous appendicitis operation had caused complications to arise and ended up in him experiencing intestinal problems.

Kun looked so different, he was thinner than before(after being hospitalised for a week), and was hooked up to a nutrient drip. He had an operation last week if i'm not wrong, and they had tubes stuck into his stomach and bladder to drain out the fluids. Poor thing man. According to his mum, he was much better already and he would be discharged this Wed. Can't wait to see him again, so we're planning to meet up at his place sometime this week. Ah Kun ah! Get well soon! Use your CHI !

We left for altron's place soon after to catch the Singapore vs Uzbekistan 2010 World Cup Qualifier. The nation lost 3-7 i think. We kinda expected it although there was hope in the beginning when Singapore equalised twice. Go Singapore, don't give up! (There's always the 2014 WC haha)
