Exhausted.

Guess who gave me the above.

Unbelievably sweet right!

My heart almost melted man.

Guess?
Guess?
Guess?

Give up?

Okay lah, it was Sam. HAHAHAHA. And in any case you people were wondering, it's my classmate Sam, it's a HE. Samuel Yap. He helped me take a straw for my bubble tea, because i forgot to.

Fate brought us(me and the straw) together man(actually Sam just randomly fished it out from the container full of them). That particular cup of bubble tea tasted exceptionally wonderful. I almost burst into tears when the last pearl got sucked up that straw(nooooooo~).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM! (i shall be the first and the last ^^)

Today was totally whacked out. Econs remedial after school, followed by math, and math tuition from 6.45 to 9pm.

A word of warning, the marquee area in TJC has potentially fatal benches. Whilst celebrating Sam's birthday there today, one particular bench(i won't say which ^^), almost managed to topple over and murder us all. Luckily the heaviest casualties were (cake)soiled pants(at the crotch area), a dirtied watch and stomach pains resulting from the 2 minutes of hysterical laughter that ensued.

Out of Sorts.

People do change, fast.

My nights are frequent thought-provokers.

Yet dwelling on the matter doesn't seem to alter reality, from its path right now.

I am compelled to accept.

On a much lighter note, C or N? HELP ME DECIDE PLEASE! Life-changing, literally.

Apart from some nauseating sensations from a revolting display of Ear Wax today, all was well.

Goodbyes Before The Lights Go Out

Extract, from Cowboy Caleb.

I repeat, this story has nothing to do with me whatsoever. I just found it fitting, in a way, for this time of year.

"Goodbyes Before The Lights Go Out"

Last night, I had a terrible dream.

Some background first. When I was a spanking lad of about 20 years of age, I was already a upwardly mobile yuppie living in my own bachelor pad. One day during a party in my condo, a group of Chinese-Indonesian girls came invited by my Indonesian housemate. One of these girls, who we shall call Melia, kinda decided that I was a good catch or something. After the party, she would call me regularly and ask me out for drinks but I never went out with her unless it was with a group because I was a bit of a prick (more details later).

That was 10 years ago, and over time I lost touch with Melia. I heard she married some rich Indonesian dude in his 40s some time back but she was never the sort of person I really gave the time of the day to.

So last night, I dreamt that I was in my old bachelor pad. Melia was there with her original group of friends that came to the party where we first met. All the furniture was the same. Even the stains on the wall made by my drunken antics were all there as I remembered them. The light however, was pretty dim.

Melia came and sat next to me on the sofa and said “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for you, to meet you again?”. And then she began fondling and hugging me, which made me uncomfortable so I moved away to another seat.

Then she told the other girls that it was a little warm in the room, and they all begun removing the clothes. Pretty soon they were all lounging around in their lingerie (the type with garters and belts).

Melia said “Why don’t you take a photo of us with your mobile phone?”

Since I couldn’t refuse, I aimed my camera and took the photo. To my horror, all the girls appeared in the photo except Melia. Thinking there was something wrong with my phone, I took another shot - but Melia simply refused to appear in the photo!

I began to panic, and then I asked the other girls if I could borrow their moblie phones to take another photo.

Melia then came and sat down next to me again. As she ran her hair through my hair she said “None of my friends have mobile phones with cameras…. so none of them know…. yet”

It was then that I woke up from my dream and sat up in bed!

In my heart, I know that Melia passed away last night.

Melia, wherever you are - I’m sorry I wasn’t nicer to you when you were on this earth. Thank you for letting me know. I hope your soul finds eternal peace.

Theee End.

SHAZA I'll get you for this!

Kidding, kidding (:

" Woah, machiam comprehension leh!"

Rules:

A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs and replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
B) Tag eight people to do this quiz and those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by and cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.

1. What are your reasons for having a LJ?

The only LJ i can think of is LiveJournal, a much-used alternative to Blogger. I'm guessing that's where this quiz originates from. And nope, i don't use Livejournal, only this one that you're reading right now.

2. What do you do before bedtime?

Scan through my Live Bookmark Feeds for local blog updates(think of them as bedtime stories). MSN chitchat. Eat(sometimes). Brush my teeth and slip on my retainers.

3. What will your dream wedding be like?

I'm not sure if i'll have one. I have plans to travel the world! But, in any case that i do have a wedding, i want it to be at the ISS(International Space Station), coupled with limitless food and an XBOX360 for every guest so we can all play Guitar Hero and rock in space till the place runs out of oxygen.

4. What is the city of your dreams and why?

Coruscant. In this case, it's a city-planet.

5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?

The latter. ^^

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?

Being loved by someone i guess. It would be best if both occur concurrently though (:

7. Do you trust easily?

It depends. Takes time.

8. What person, dead or alive, is your role model?

The Joker. I would very much like to adopt his sense of super-sanity and quick wit, although i would most probably end up going nuts.

9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?

Definitely, but i shan't say more. If only life was all about happiness and devoid of troubles.

10. When's the last time you had fun?

Thrashing the piano with Pingchiang under LT1, after school today.

11. Is being tagged fun?

Absolutely, then you can tag others. It's a vicious cycle (:

12. How do you see yourself?

Just the average guy. Nothing much.

13. Who are currently the most important people to you?

My family and friends. I can't get through this life without them.

14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?

Shaza's a very, VERY nice girl. She's friendly, polite, and ever-smiling!
Always brightens up my day ^^. A great person to talk to (: And her name starts with "S" too, WOOHOO. Go Shaza!

15. Would you rather be single and rich or married but poor?

This has potential for an argumentative essay, due to the respective pros and cons. But at the moment, single and rich! So i can fulfill my globetrotting dream ^^.

16. How many children do you want to have, if any?

A battalion. So they can all protect me if the need arises ^^. On a serious note, i haven't really given this much thought. Let the future decide.

17.What's better, to give or to receive?

Giving. Definitely.

18. If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?

That'd be impossible. Then one of them wouldn't be true love anymore.

19. What would you do if you (or your girlfriend) became pregnant unexpectedly?

Sue the contraceptive company. (Nah, joking.)

20. What are you waiting for right now?

For myself to get overwhelmed by fatigue and go to bed.

I is Tired!

Swiped one of the free textbooks that TJ Library put out at the entrance. Nelkon & Parker Physics Advanced Level, 7th Edition. I took the more intact of the two that remained and left, brimming with content that i no longer need to purchase one from Popular.

Grabbed some egg salad bun opposite for a quick bite before i spent the rest of the evening(and early night) at the TRC. I gladly welcomed the air-conditioned room. Finished(or rather kena chase out) at 8.30pm. Dinner was settled opposite(again) with guanjie, sam and zhihao. As though part of a routine, I reached home around 10pm as usual.

Such is the life of a student in pursuit of tertiary education. What to do? Chiong, lah.

What Talent

Talent.

There's the often-heard-of few, playing the piano, singing, dancing or any one sport.

But have you ever seen an actual talented Guitar Hero player in action? One that's half your age?

Watching this kid hitting all the right notes is pure gold.

"Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce"

If you've played Guitar Hero, you'll know just how awfully tough this song is(just ask val or zhihao). This boy has incredible potential as the next Slash.

I can't get enough of the Joker's laughter. It's rather addictive to listen to, so much that i've even set it to my message alert tone ^^. I hope i don't get driven to laughing delirium.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oops.

Arson-ic Intentions

Die, Paper, Die

The Physics NCT 2008 was a brain drain. I was so tired after the paper, having killed all my brain cells whilst attempting the questions. Doing the paper was a headache, although it was slightly(yes SLIGHTLY only) easier than the 2007 one. I almost set fire to the question paper.

What's left to be said?

The Dark Knight absolutely lived up to all its hype. It was fantastic. Heath Ledger's anarchic portrayal of The Joker was eerily convincing, and refreshing as well. It was in a different league altogether, in comparison to Jack Nicholson's take on the character back in Batman (1989). It's very sad that such a talented and wonderful actor had passed away earlier this year because of an accidental drug overdose. He totally deserves posthumous recognition, in the form of an Oscar. Rest in peace, Mr. Heath Ledger.

The Dark Knight is the only Batman movie, without the word "Batman", in the title.

Jack Nicholson as The Joker

Heath Ledger as The Joker: Psychopathic, Schizophrenic, yet with a pinch of Charisma

The Joker in this film had sort of a makeover. Instead of sporting white skin as a result of chemical bleaching(his origins), he wore face paint in the movie. What resulted was a scruffier-looking, edgier version of the Joker, never before seen in previous productions. The Glasgow Smile was there, a result of alleged parental abuse and self-mutilation.

The Dark Knight Himself

But what is the Joker without Batman? Bruce Wayne is back again with all his incredible gadgets and an all-new Batsuit(Kevlar woven with titanium-dipped nylon, if i remember). The Tumbler(his Batmobile-cum-Big Bad Black Tank) returns from the original movie as well, with a few surprises in store.

Compare this.

Left: Batman Begins(2005). Right: The Dark Knight(2008).

With this(I know its hard to believe, but yeah, it used to be this).

It's a wonder the villains don't die from laughter

Compare the vehicles too.

I wasn't alive before this actually roamed Gotham

This was from either Batman or Batman Forever

From Batman and Robin, i actually like this design

Current: The Tumbler from TDK, aka Big-Bad-Black-Tank

The Joker's unwavering faith in social obedience generally creates all the chaos seen in the film(No spoilers here, go watch it yourself). Throughout the show, you can't help but eagerly wait for the next scene when the Joker pops out. It's a brilliant performance. I especially like the maniacal laughter. Edison Chen appeared as well, for a mere 3 seconds. Go catch the movie! Guaranteed to please.

We stumbled upon this quirky bike en route to catching The Dark Knight. The owner must have quite a personality. A dollar for guessing who's the guy above! Nah, joking.
